Treatment

Mindfulness cultivates an increased awareness and understanding of one's emotions, allowing for a more skillful response to them. By practicing mindfulness, you can learn to observe your emotions without judgment or reactivity, creating space to choose how to respond rather than reacting impulsively. This non-judgmental awareness helps in identifying emotions as they arise, understanding their triggers, and recognizing the bodily sensations associated with them. By developing this self-awareness, you can effectively regulate your emotions, choosing healthier coping strategies and reduce impulsive or destructive behaviors.

Low self-worth and negative self-image significantly impact daily functioning, leading to increased stress, anxiety, and potential health issues. It can hinder engagement in fulfilling activities, goal pursuit, and healthy relationships, fostering feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. During our sessions, we will work together to challenge negative self-talk, which often consists of self-critical thoughts and beliefs that undermine our self-worth. We will explore the origins of these negative thoughts and examine their validity. You are inherently worthy and it's time to embrace and embody it fully in your life.

Emotional Self-Regulation

Grief and Loss

Grief is often misunderstood as solely stemming from the loss of a loved one. However, it is important to recognize that grief can manifest in response to various types of losses, such as the end of friendships, romantic relationships, marriages, familial connections, or changes in job/career situations. Additionally, grief can emerge when we let go of "toxic" relationships and come to terms with the realization that someone close to us may be unable to meet our needs. It can even arise from shedding aspects of a previous lifestyle that no longer align with our growth. I am deeply committed to providing a supportive space where all forms of loss can be acknowledged and honored, regardless of their perceived magnitude.

Relationship Enhancement

Relationships can be complex and at times difficult, whether it's in the context of friendships, romantic partnerships, family dynamics, or professional connections. I help clients develop effective communication techniques, establish healthy boundaries, heal past wounds that impact relationships, and gain insight into recurring relationship patterns. Ultimately my goals is to help you develop and maintain healthier, more fulfilling relationships through exploration, guidance, and skill-building.

Emerging & Early Adulthood

While I enjoy work with clients of various ages, this stage of life, holds a special place in my heart. Typically spanning from the late teens to the early thirties, is a time of self-discovery, establishing independence, and making important life decisions. I am passionate about providing support and guidance to individuals during this critical period as they navigate issues such as complexities of identity formation, career exploration, relationships, and personal growth. Together, we can address the specific concerns, goals, and developmental tasks that arise during this important period of life.
